Put new tires on this evening in preparation for the nor'easter.
I am very happy with the Pirelli MT-21's. 4000 miles, including trips to New Jersey and Vermont, and the front tire is severely cupped. I could probably get a few hundred more out of the rear tire, but didn't see any reason to push it. I will be keeping that tire as a back-up. I am going to try running higher pressure in the new front tire to see if that will help with the cupping. Great off road performance, surprisingly good on pavement and 4000 miles on a big, powerful bike? What's not to like? I do believe I will stick with the MT-21's for awhile.

This should provide adequate grip during the winter time. 4,40 tire looks narrowish on the stock rim but should be ok.

Installed Fastway Evo2 pegs and a set of black shrouds over the tank. I got the pegs for the LoBoy position on them. At first glance and even when holding them in place they didn't look any lower but they are! Lower and a bit more rearward, plus about a 1/4" wider. There is no extra length to them however.

I added a second set of rubber compression nuts to my headlight surround so I can move the fairing to a high and low position.

Scotts Damper
Mounted up a Scotts steering damper on my 950se using the stock triple and pre existing holes on the triple and frame. Seems to work great and doesn't look bad in my opinion. If anyone is interested and can uploads photos fire me an email address and I'll send them to you.

I have the old Wings and had wanted to do this as well. Did the carbon end caps come with new rivets? |
