Got it! KTM 660 Rallye
Yow, got a 2002 KTM 660 Rallye. It was previous owned by MBaars who rode across Russia/Mongolia to Japan and Australia. After he returned to Holland (2008) the bike was stored in a garagebox.
It was for sale and i'm very very happy that i could lay my hand it :) The photo is a very poor but so you got a idea ;) ![]() there have to be a lot of things to do: 1) New front Rim 2) IMO/ICO 3) complete rebuild (i gonna strip it to the bone and rebuild it, with my old man's help) 4) new fairing painting (the fueltanks gonna be the hardest job to get a nice smooth painted skin) the new colors.... i'm thinking of the Repsol color scheme... Other idea's are welcome and info of course.

I hate people like you who own the bikes I lust after (but I soon get over it).
Nice score - see, I'm feeling better already. That thing on the front guard is a roo-whistle, and they come in pairs for around $7. They seem to work mostly, and tend to wake up some other critters too. I have them on all my bikes and cars, and space them apart so they phase in and out of their harmonic range (that's why they're sold in pairs eh) which tends to get the furry bastards attention. There's still no guarantee they won't just jump in front of you, kangaroos are the animals with the least road-sense ever. The roadsides here are littered with dead 'uns. If the roo-whistle doesn't work, let me know and I'll take the bike off your hands.

That's the real deal...first four places in the PD.
I'd like to see the cylinder head and know the valve sizes. Carb, jetting, cam type. bill

We use them for the deer and depending on where you live they can out number the people. Couldn't say they really work but they are cheap and could save tons of money if you hit one, or your life.

I might also be a lucky guy this weekend. My brother is going check up a KTM 660 Rally on the weekend.
Are there any typical weaks spots to check on a 660 Rally? The seller claims it was used in 2006 DAKAR. I just have to take a fight with 200cm 100kg brother about who of us will get the bike. |
