Rana buena suerte! With your experience and skill I think your plan not to do a bunch of pre-running is solid. You will do just fine. Spend as little time stopped as possible and keep that forward momentum going!

Iron Frog!
I'll be watching your spot! Take it easy out their! The nerves are fastest to go on those big rides as you know. Your muscles can handle it. The brain gets tweeky. After 14 hours of knee draggin my strom the 3rd day in a row, I remember flinching/ducking from a grasshopper so hard that i nearly broke my neck! weird. I stopped for a beer. Have one for me down there!

We are the guys in your second chase, we are in San Felipe now, we ran from Barrego area today and probably will continue south on the course Sunday then head to Ojos as well. Hope we can meet up in the next few days! Look for the white passenger van and trailer with West Side Plumbing on them.

It's a sign...
I've got to ask: what brand sled deck is that? I've looked all over and can't find one that looks just like yours. That would be so much simpler than hauling a trailer.

Here is our Frog of Iron and team on the first day of the journey to LaPaz. I have to say I was just heart broken not to be in that truck as it pulled away. My bike still got to go though...we'll have to see how much of it makes it back

You must have some really smart Rednecks in Utah
'Cuz that's a damn impressive rig. Have fun. I've driven through white-out snowstorms like that to get to riding areas in my trusty old 4Runner pulling a bike trailer. It's a real test of faith sometimes. Ride well and get home whole.
