Bike's just all apart right now. I haven't yet seen the check they tell me is in the mail. Progressive has been pretty easy to work with. I made a list, got a visit from Flo (aren't all Progressive employees named Flo?). She turned my list into an estimate with no fuss. and.....they're gonna pay me $45/hr to fix it... ![]() I have ALL the big service items to do also, so it'll be a little while. I almost rode Mustangshelly's DR200 to town today,.... but the 28 degree weather found me in my pickup. I know....I'm going soft.....

Hey i know this guy who used to ride a Vespa to run erands when rebuilding his '68 Triumph, easy to get around on & don't have to throw your leg over to get on it. It all works.

I got my bike chained down to the trailer 2 days ago. Started reefing on it with my metal working tools (you know: stone axe, long piece of driftwood). It's about halfway back to normal; straighter than me, I'd say! Might need a bud over to reef both sides at same time, just another excuse to drink more PBR. I've seen lots worse, see it in the mirror every morning when I go to shave. Got new fender and tail light coming, needed those anyway they were hammered from use down south. Need a new front disk cover, that is now "acerbis-ancient" technology. This bike just will not lay down and die; it's gonnal hoik wheelies for the Mexican militar drug & weapons checkpoints again! Just might veer to the left a wee bit. Needs a 990-slash sticker. Four more and I'm an ace!

My rear subframe got a bit twisted up, too, .....but it's been welded on and reinforced so much that I didn't bother claiming that. It just needs one of those special metal-working tools like yours, Hells. Rest assured that the biggest piece of your old disc cover has become "Garage Art"

Is that akin to "notches in the bedpost"?

Did so to minimize the roost he had to eat every time I towed him and his bike out of whatever ditch he got himself into.
