central qld overnite ride
Had a look around monto/krombit tops areas
![]() The riding is open for many kms,there is a bit of tar/sealed road but you can divert to do dirt roads,not the quickest way but better ![]() This is the dawson developement road,time to take the lh turn towards theodore ![]() ![]() ![]() After theodore go out towards camboon,scenery is nice and the country seems to change from km to km ![]() ![]() I crossed the highway nth of monto and went towards cadia dam,i was planning to overnite stop in this area for the ride to the tops the following day ![]() Good riding along road to cadia,this area reminds me of where i rode alot when i was younger,the esk/kilcoy/jimna region in south east queensland,looked the same! ![]() ![]() Got to cadia dam,very nice spot...good fishing ![]() ![]() ![]() Stayed the nite at many peaks pub,good meals and rooms ![]() Next morning went up towards the krombit tops region. ![]() The reason for the trip was to have a look at the b24 bomber,im a huge aviation buff and it ment alot to me to go to the site...heres some photos ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Was very humbled to look at the site,no words can explain.Jumped back on the bike and rode along some trails towards overnite stop ![]() Had no real plan for overnite but ended heading towards coastal town of 1770/agnes waters,great place ![]() ![]() Bike loves this ![]() ![]() Nice views from township 0f 1770,was great to ride the different terrain/views over the last 2 days. ![]() Stayed at agness waters for the night,just put some chain lube on the 690rr and give it a cuddle before bed ![]() This watercraft is to take tourists along coast for trips ![]() green grass and high tides forever ![]() In the morning was away from the coast in a few 100kms,country changes once again.Went towards monto for a top up of fuel ![]() After fueling up at monto went and had a look at "bunyip waterhole" and then went out towards theodore area towards home ![]() ![]() ![]() Best hamburgers in world found here ![]() Turn rightGas pipeline construction ![]() Turn right ![]() ![]() ![]() After a few hours of good scenery and riding conditions was nearly home,the blackdown tablelands look a treat in the afternoon sun,im very luckey to be able to ride around these areas!
