It's hunting season. So I'm not getting much riding in. I did take the Roadking out last Monday for a short ride.

Yeah I know what you mean about hunting season. I wanted to go up in the blues truck camping here a few weeks ago but Johnson's MS was telling me about how bad the dust was up there at the time, I didn't feel like dealing with that and now that we have finally had some rain I don't feel like dealing with hunting season either. I guess I'll just have to wait to try out my new 3 layer military sleeping bag?

Walla Walla native.

Stumbled across this tread today, I grew up in walla walla, dad an 2 brothers still live there. I loved riding the southfork trail system. Looks like I'll be there at thanksgiving, maybe there won't be much snow yet and I can sneak in a ride.

I seen this morning that Table rock has snow on it. Should make for a fun hunt for my brother and nephew. They have watershed elk tags this year. I didn't get any special tags this year. I think I will just go steelheading instead of elk hunting this year.

Just about to put the bikes away

I am just about to put the bikes away for the season. I keep wanting to ride, but see rain in the forecast.

Didn't log as many miles as I thought this year, only 2,000 miles.

I never completely put the bikes away. You never know when a nice day will pop up and I can get a mid winter ride in.

Greatnortoni and I stopped by USA Honda to see the new 2013 CRF250 water cooled, fuel injected, 6 speed and NC700 they had gotten in just for something to do Fri night. I was looking at the NC700 as a possible replacement for my Versys. The new bikes just keep getting better and better every year. rj

I decided I would ride the KLR to work Tuesday. I have been riding the Roadking for the last month. Man I didn't think I would get her started. I think she was mad at me for neglecting her for the last month. I Finely got her started and have been riding it the last few days. I'm 50 miles short of the 11,000 mile mark and I want to get that in before I store it for the winter. Anyone else getting any riding in ??

I got out on the Victory last weekend for a run over to Tri-Cities for breakfast at Magills on Road 68.

Got a new Ztechnik windscreen for the f650gs that I need to get on, then take her out and put some miles on before I bed her down in the garage on the battery tender. If you see someone around this weekend on a black BMW, that'd be me.

I'm suppose to run over to Grandview for lunch with my brother on the 15th. And I'm hoping to take the Roadking. That way I can get one more good ride in before winter sets in. I was thinking I could get a ride in this weekend. But it's calling for snow on Friday.

Pike's Peak...

Went up Pike's Peak to Mckay grade Sunday. Then Monday Biscuit Ridge and back down Blacksnake Ridge to Blue Creek. The ride on Monday was really good, conditions were perfect. There were some water obstacles once I went past Pike's Peak on Sunday. View pics here:

AHA! Your the one running around on the red KLR. Good to put a name to the bike.

I was able to take the XT out last weekend and log some miles on it, otherwise in the last month or so the bikes have been parked. I will probably put the cover and battery tender on the TDM this week.

The Victory and BMW are slumbering in the garage, on battery tenders. Both have a good slug of sea foam in the tanks and run through the system.

The klr was my previous bike [now I owned by a relative so I can still ride it!], moved on to the smaller xt225 and am really enjoying it.
