Heading into Baja - What's Can't I Miss?
The wife and I are heading into Baja soon. Our only plan is to stay in Rasarito Beach for a few days then to wander around. Probably down to Encinata for a day or two then? We were just going to wander.
So what's down there that we absolutely have to see?

To get a real taste of Baja/Mexico take 3 east out of Ensenada for a while.
Also 1 south after Ensenada over the Mountain. Also the free coastal road out of Rosarito Beach south then swing left under the Toll road and take the back road hilly route old road to Ensenada, pass through La Mission.

The La Fonda restaurant about Eighteen miles South of Rosarito on the free road and just before the underpass at La Mision has great food, views and ambiance. They also have hillside cottages with ocean views and fireplaces, reasonably priced. If you stay there please tip the wachman in the parking lot when you leave.

Ok you must try El zurdo taco stand in rosarito beach. The have awsome pastor tacos. La bufadora already mentioned also there are some wineries close enough for a day trip. Weekend flea market in rosarito and Ensenada are interesting. Puerto Nuevo just south of rosarito is a day walk around fishing town know for fresh lobster.

Yeah, puerto Nuevo. While in Ensenada on the weekend you can take a fishing boat around the bay. Don't worry about finding one. They'll find you.

Destination Suggestion
If you are in Ensenada and are interested in some wine tasting along with some good food, you must venture into Guadalupe Valley... check out this link with an article that was recently published
