Some updates for the problem.
took the whole garmin regulator away, and after 5 days there was still 12,8v in the battery. Sent an e-mail to garmin support and they told to wire the system directly to the battery. Their opinion was that will solve the problem keeping CAN alive even the power is switched off.
Anyway took the bike to the workshop today for sometimes poor cranking when hot, and mentioned also of the battery drain problem. Let's see in a couple of days what they say

Please could you let us know, if your problem with the flat battery was sorted, now that you are connect direct to the battery????
