Trojans... man am I glad I run Linux instead of Windows. Too bad most of my customers don't. Seems like I spend half my time just ripping that crap out and trying to patch up the remains.

Mountains/elevation?

Hey guys, I'm contemplating getting a TW 200 to keep at my brothers cabin in the mountains of WV. Anyone care to chime in with experience riding the little mule up mountain roads? I'd be using it mostly for the dirt trails and fire roads, but it'd be fun to bomb around the mountains roads and up to the resort (Snowshoe) as well. Thanks!

I've had a lot of fun riding my TW200 up & down mountain trails & roads in Rocky Mtn NP, Yellowstone NP & Grand Tetons NP. This bike will go anywhere... even where other DS & GS have trouble.

Especially where they have trouble. It's jetted a little lean, but that cleans up once you get up there, really.

Oh, if anybody has a 2001 or newer for sale/trade, I might be on the market.

Reports are that those who use Chrome are no longer having a problem.

I use Firefox and don't have the problem anymore either.

HOWEVER, I used my I.E. browser and all the same problems still exist. Bad header data strings, plus I can't sign in.

Sooo, I don't think the problem has cleared up completely.

I'm on another forum which uses vBulletin (the forum software that the TW200forum uses) and that forum has the same problems with IE9. Firefox works just fine on my Mac.

I have done nothing but I do know PO had carb cleaned before I bought and it still only has 50 miles on it. Was supposed to be wife's bike but she has since changed her mind.

Rejet, shim the needle and adjust the pilot screw....bike wakes up a bit!. Go to the tw200 discussion forum(it was having some issues a day or so ago?). The folks over on that forum are awesome for info on the TW200!. Good luck....the aforemention mods improve cold starting also.
