Not sure myself why Rocky has not posted something about the Stolpa family as she is usually the one to tell the "rest of the story." Could be there is not that much available to tell. In any case, did a quick search and found this one article that tells a little about it; http://www.sierrasun.com/article/200...LIFE/112170011 I also remember seeing the move about the incident when it came out on TV several years ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowbou...r_Stolpa_Story Since being in the area, we plan to watch the movie again some time in the future when we have time. Can rent it for a few $$ from Amazon and stream it to our TV. |

Again Great Story. I guess they divorced many years later. I found this
"Jim and I divorced because we grew apart, in different directions. We are still very good friends, we are both remarried, and the kids are doing wonderful! Clayton has graduated high school, and plans to go to college. He is VERY musically inclined; he writes, plays, and produces beautiful music. I know it's hard to think that after such an event we could grow apart, but life is funny that way.... I will never forget what we went through, and what he did for me and Clayton. We still love each other, and we are proud of that fact! Most divorces are bitter and ugly, and the kids suffer.... ours have flourished. Thanks for thinking of us, and be sure to watch the Discovery Channels "I Shouldn't be Alive" series... we were the first episode of the first season! Best Regards, " Jennifer Stolpa-Repetti. So When's the next installment of the "Steep and Rocky Show" ... Hey Rocky watch me pull a.... ![]() All you guys need now is a Mr Pee-Body

As always, really good ride report and pix..Northwestern Nevada is one of my favorite places. After three different week-long 4X4 trips down there, I still haven't had my fill. The last trip started out at Imlay, just south of Winnemucca and followed the Applegate Trail all the way to Cedarville, CA. That was the trip we spent Halloween night at Soldier Meadows.
Your report brought back some great memories...Thanks for sharing. Mick
