KTM heated grips - how to control..?

Just installed the grips and the left grip stopped working halfway through the installation (no resistance - must be a broke connection inside) - these are more fragile than I imagined.

I see a couple of you have had problems with the right grip. If any of you have the working left grip sitting around i'd be happy to work something out.
