mount for remote

I imagine that Touratech will soon crank out a $200 wifi remote mount for my GS! Until then, I use the velcro strap to semi-mount it on my handguard. I learned that it straps beautifully on the clutch reservoir on an RT.

I came across this news last night and proceeded to update both of my HD2`s, wi fi`s and remote and sync`ed them with my iphone (3GS) however dispite my efforts 1 of my HD2`s won`t display in the preview screen of my iphone, but I can control all the other settings on it via the phone, The other HD2 is working brilliantly so I know the connection to the phone and the software update has worked

If it helps: don't do the Wi-Fi BacPac software update on USB 3.0 ports!
USB 2.0 ONLY! And be happy!

Just saying!

I ran the GP video on youtube before updating the software ready for the (iphone) install, so I understood everything, inc what you state. I`ve even plugged them both back in to double check I haven`t made a mistake. But yet the 1 camera refuses to display the preview.
I`ve also noticed a slight lag in display between the images i view on the other camera, and what is displayed on the phone

Same here. Not only slightly lag but quite huge lag. I also had the preview problem, but restarting the app seemed to fix it in the 'small' window. In the full size screen, I have preview problems most of the time.
Anyway, weren't we supposed to be able to do live steams when this app, came out? That was at least one of the reasons I bught the wifi stuff.

Heys, i've updated yesterday on my Macbook Retina (with USB3 ports), and it all ran smoothly. I guess they solved that problem.

I did have my Hero 2 bricked from my last attempt at upgrading the firmware.... The dreaded V198 update....but they replaced it quite fast (i am in Europe) and the new one updated with no problems.
The first one i tried it on my PC, and this time on a Mac.

The is some Lag, but come on...it's not that much, and the thing is transmitting over Wifi and processing the image to transmit, so it would be expected. I don't find the lag that much annoying, but then again, i might just been so happy that the damn thing did not brick once again

I tried to convince the GoPro tech support to give me an upgrade to the Hero 3 (and me paying for the difference) but they didn't went for it

now off to see if i can put the camera to good use...

Thumb wifi-backpac battery

i dont know if any of you have tried, but i've checked and it is possible to have your wifi backpac connected to the usb and charging and still work so it will last as long as you want, and will not drain the go pro battery.

This is only good if you have an usb charger/power outlet in your bike, and have the go pro strapped to someplace where you can pass the cable....and mod the case so that the cable can get in....but still, to me it is nice know. The camera however, does not provide this ability (to my knowledge and experience), maybe if one used an USB cable only with the charge wires fitted it would work...as it would detect power but no pc....

anyway, just though i'd share, hopefully it will help in some way. :)
