Looks like the LIT motors C1 may actually come to market
http://litmotors.com/home/ Really looks like a rehash of the old failed "gyro car" concept, but it's being pitched as more of a scooter. I suspect they duck around the various automobile crash standards, enabling them to build a light shell to keep the range and speed up.

I understand that gyros keep it upright while stationary, but that it takes corners just like any solo motorcycle.
The steering wheel is sort-of strange . . . . ![]() . . . not often seen with only two wheels on the road.

It has an invisible beam that repels gravity.

And it never wears out its tires and uses your body heat as its lone source of fuel. I know I want one.

Stands
I emailed on that & there's some kind of automatic system that deploys stands or stand, they're working on the details.
This issue was part of the killer of the old "Gyro Car" concept from the 30'/40's/50's et al. The vehicle wasn't quite just get in & go since the system had to take a minute or so to deploy, & retract, so was less convenient. That will be true of this from our (yours & my) perspective as well, but from the perspective of someone who's never ridden motorcycles/scooters to speak of the economy, relative ease of finding small parking spaces etc. might be novel enough to hook 'em in. |
