Moab, winding er up for the another year...

Rob's truck is all packed up...

He is passing his comments $%&#@ from the peanut gallery (motel window) as we load up ..

Just about done... a few more adjustments and all three bikes are tied down for the 2400KM trip home.

Thanks to Backroader JR for the use of his new Ford...great riding truck and from all accounts, just as thirsty as the other brands of pickups (when it comes to towning)

This is the backside of Tusher Tunnel...there were a bunch of other crevases and caves along the backside

Weird coloured rocks at Cotter Mines...we weren't sure if these contained Uranium or not

Lappeman taking a run at the Gooney Bird foot from opposite direction...didn't feel right

This is the Gooney Bird foot...to give you an idea of how steep it really is. My front wheel was getting close to vertical and was lifting of the rock as I turned to come down

Hope you enjoyed our photo trip...I know we enjoyed being there and capturing these photos. Who knows where to next...

My KLX worked out quite well. Could have used more power at times but it did the job and I had no problems with it.
Fuel range was the shortest of all the bikes.

Mine is slightly modified (will lift the wheel in second) and has an aftermarket tank. About 300 km range.

Steve, (the main guy I ride with) has an Acerbis?? tank.

I'll have to ask him what his range is.

Yes, do tell. I'm guessing it has a big bore kit put in among other things.

I had the 330 kit with fmf power bomb exhaust and pumper carb in my 06. It probably made double the power of stock but still not much for the weight of the bike. Only got 220k to a tank with the acerbis.

2whlrider may only need another short outing on the orange and he will probably turn to the "Dark Side".
I can see it now.... 250klx for sale, replaced by orange.

If cash was no object that's exactly what I'd do.

And I wouldn't even need another ride.

I'm surprised a 330 kit would double the power. There is a 351 kit available....maybe something to think about.

Supposedly the 330 kit puts out higher numbers than the 350 but I don't believe much I read on the internet.
Bore carb and exhaust probably add around 10hp. A good boost for a 17hp engine lol.

With that said. for what you'll spend doing all that stuff you could upgrade to a pretty nice bike.
