With the top bikes now through San Felipe and the long pavement stretch, HONDA opens up an 8.5 minute lead over KAWASAKI and a 12.5 min lead over KTM.

So JCR #1x have got it to the front... and now it's "keep up if you can" (all those years of experience up in the Ensenada/SanFelipe part paying off at moment).

Kawasaki/THR #8x and the KTM #5x have both opened well... pretty much level pegging/swapping to and fro and around eight to 12 minutes back from the Honda.

seems these three teams have already created a little "gap" on the rest of the moto teams, with the #6x bike the next one through...

Nah... not strictly "desert races" as such... there is an event called the South Australia 24 Hour Reliability Trial, where the competiors race around the clock on terrain which would be closest to a cross between open enuro/ISDE offroad and US Hare and Hound/Cross County type terrain. Not much flat out 5th and 6th gear stuff - like in Baja or Desert racing - but it's still rough, tiring and (a big percentage of the race) is at night.

Said he passed Robby, then Mike Brown 10 miles later...When he rode passed "OX's" memorial and felt great, he simply "checked-out" and got in the zone. He's traveling down the HWY and will see what happens
