I put the Traxxion Dynamics AK20 forks and a Wilburs Shock.
The forks made MUCH more difference , a FR road where I was not comfortable at 30MPH, I now think DAMN I better slow down at 50MPH. And then I realized the stock shock sucks too. When you start researching suspensions you'll find that while the stock spring rates are soft the bigger problem is the valving sucks, the forks will hydrolock or bottom out and that is what causes the harshness. After I put the forks on, before I got the shock I thought the shock felt like it was going to launch me, I then turned the rebound adjuster in but it still didn't feel great. With both in I think I need to adjust the fork damping slightly still, but it feels so good most of the time I make very small adjustments and then ride alot to see if I did the right thing.

Sounds great, I have Ohlins all the way around, I am just kind of curious what people have been using. I am the terminal stage of my farkling and figured anyone that just got a new bike may be interested what the masses, have and love.

Runnin4melife.......are the Ohlins fork cartriges worth the $ ? Can you do the install yourself once they are built and sent to you? Questions I have been looking for answers for. Ready to go that route ite if I can learn a bit from those with experience.
But in keeping with the thread I do believe my favorite mod to date is the AltRider bash plate.

Low fender removal and high fender install. Without this mod, the bike is dangerous in the sticky mud we get around here.

So far it's been my desierto3 windscreen... Looks good and helped a ton with commuting...
I'm sure my next will be the addition of k60's over the stock street tires... I was slipping non stop through the mud last weekend.... Next I'm sure it will be traxxion fork kit |

I agree with many here that Suspension upgrades is the best money spent on these bikes!
Traxxion AK-20 and Hyperpro 3 Way rear shock transformed my bike into an off road T-Rex. Nothing else comes close to high performance suspension work.

Concur with the suspension mods first. The next best thing was when I added the accelerator module (like booster plug) and a G2 throttle tube to take the snatch out of the off idle acceleration. Other import mod is the steering dampener. I got a Scott's from Renazco on a group buy that Enderthex put together.
I guess if it's perfect you're done farkling. I am not done yet....

Never done haha, I was out in the garage earlier looking at some weird stuff I want to try. But will have to wait and see, the bike and I will be traveling across the US for a bit (6 months, TX, GA, IL, MO, OH) and many places in between. So I am stuck with what I have for the moment.

-1 tooth
~ a 15t front sprocket. a.k.a best mod for the buck. If its low-cost off-road choice(15t) otherwise the cha-ching choice commuter(Corbin heated seat) = 700mi.work weeks/200 weekend ADV miles.

Just a single mod? That's tough!
I like my skid plate (I may be biased though Stock tires got changed out before I even picked up the bike and without more dirt worthy tires I wouldn't even be riding where I do! ![]() Bar risers were a good upgrade too. So much more comfy standing! HTCA's power controller was also a great upgrade! Hyperpro springs up front were also a big improvement! Wish I had the $$ to go all the way front and rear! Am I over the limit yet? ![]() Dave
