Just Goosing Around... First steps into Guzzi land...
I sold everything I had kicking about the place, I need a simpler life! so apart from my R80ST, and my Norton project, everything has gone, the Z1, gone, the H1, gone, the Enfield, gone, the K100-rs, gone, the newly aquired 80St, gone!
There was space in my garage, and peace and harmony in my life, I could just ride the R80ST, and build the Norton, simple, we have balance in the shed, and I feel good about the deal. Well I did, until a friend told me about a 70 Ambo that was for sale, and how he knew I always wanted one, and how I now had space, and should really buy it. ![]() So I did, ![]() I have never had anything Italian before, apart from an old girlfriend but have loved Alfa's from way before the dead sea was even sick, although I have never owned one, one day maybe, a nice red GTV 2000, oh yeah![]() But now I have bought this 1970 V750, and I may even have it at home here this weekend, if all the planets align. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 42k miles ![]() Could it be my forever bike? ![]() ![]()

What a fine specimen! I'll put my envy aside and just say congratulations!
I was surprised at how quickly my recently-acquired 850-T came to be the focus of my moto-lust. I still enjoy the BMW and Ducati, but the Goose has become my clear favorite. It will get under you skin and I predict you will never sell it. They really are that special. You might find the need to add a Le Mans at some point, though! Looks to be in very nice shape. Any items needing immediate attention, or is it a runner as-is? |

New Guzzi
Whatever you do, don't let it sit in your garage looking pretty. This bikes were built to be ridden, far and often.
Good luck and have fun. Nick |

From ~1965 until ~2002 my father owned exclusively Alfa Romeos - god only knows how many of them. They ranged in age from 1939 to a 1995. The only reason he bought a different marque is that they stopped importing new ones, so they were out as a daily driver. They kept promising to bring them back so he kept driving his '95 until everything electrical had failed (as inevitably happens in Italian cars). By 2002ish, it was clear that they weren't coming back anytime soon and his daily driver alfa was now 7 years old, which is getting up there for an alfa, so he relunctantly folded and bought a BMW. Alfas are indeed a sickness. Beware.
