Update from the Mrs.
I spoke with chase crew and he's doing good. Just tired. They said after fluids & food this morning he's WAY better. Feeling strong and planning on a shortly after nightfall finish.
Thanks for cheering!!

Frog hit Baja Pits here in Scorpion Bay at 7 30 Baja south time.
Bike was smashed. That TT hit him hard. Sub-frame was pointing to the sky, and pushed into the rear shock. Matt was fine. He was way fired up about the whole thing. He will make he finnish just to kick the TT driver in the nutsˇˇˇˇ We ment to get video, but in all the excitment we forgot. We were actually told he had quit by Baja Pits. Luckly we were still there when he came through. You can imagine our excitment.

As I remember, his target avg time was 30 mph.
Best I can tell, he hit MM820 at about 29.5 hrs into the race = 27.7 mph Damn good considering all. And, with 300 miles to go that means 10 hrs to go (assuming no speed increase / decrease) => 2100 arrival (9:00 PM) in LaPaz ;D

What time is his cutoff be for a legit "finish" ?
For someone who knows very little about the baja race, it is truely admirable how long you have been riding your bike

From: http://www.race-dezert.com/home/fact...-12-36229.html :
TIME LIMIT: All vehicles will have a 45-hour time limit from the time they start. Time does not look like a factor if he continues to keep the rubber side down and can keep his fatigue in check! Quote:
Go Frog!!! ![]() p.s. I'm trying to find info on 274x from Ft. Collins/Loveland CO. Any links to a better thread or site with bike numbers reported??? Thanks!

Update from the Mrs.
So the planned stop for the headlights may be too far away, so they are meeting up right there on the highway.
I don't know the # and I actually hope Matt doesn't know the #. He says he still feels good
