I had Woody convert my stock rear wheel to a tubeless. Looks like he did it with silicone and strapping tape and Goop. 8 months now and it holds air just fine. So then I had Woody build me a super-laced Excel rim (19") and now I am all tubeless all the time. He gave my friends and me a tour of his facility. He is a trip. pk

I looked over Woodies selections at a MC event and I was impressed. I bring an AdvDesignes tool kit with me, tire pump, and tire irons, and patch kit and extra tubes, on any long trip. If I am going off pavement I add a bottle of slime so I don't have to screw with replacing a tube in the boonies. In 35k miles I have had only one flat. As soon as the tires wear out I am going to ship my wheels to woodies. Dave

tool kit tire repair items- cheap and worth the space
Priceless items to include in your flat tire kit for in the bush tube changes -
1. Bar of soap(hotel size works) - beads are a bitch on k60 2. Not just a valve stem core extractor but a valve stem puller 3. 21 inch tube will work in a rear tire but a 19 tube will not work in the front - if you plan on carrying only 1tube 4. A SPOT device- I don't have one yet- but its a must for lone wolf riders. |

These obviously can be repaired on the side of the road or in the boonies. Its no fun and you'll likely curse the bike, but if you're gonna ride a bike with spokes wheels you better learn how to work on tires or just stay close to home and never utilize the bike to its potential.

tubes?
i just rode 2000miles on a 2 flats - i didnt even know they were flat until i went to air down before going off road- those r stiff ass tyres because i was going at least 85 on highway- the original k60s are impressive. they had almost 10k on them
