WTB Dual ATE set-up
I am looking to buy the lower right fork leg (or 2 complete forks) for the dual Ate set-up. Any body have one of these kicking around?

ATE fork legs
I have a set of fork legs (no triple clamp) from a 1978 R100S that had dual ATE brakes.
Since I upgraded to dual Brembos, I'd be willing to sell them. Do you just want just the lower sliders or the fork tubes and sliders? Let me know and I'll send you some pictures. |

You could also do what I did if you know a good machine shop/ fabricator who likes fun projects.
Get a "very cheap on eBay" left side lower. Have the axle hole machine out to fit the wide end of the axle. Cut the brake tab that points to the right off and have it welded to the other side so it now points left. File, sand and finish. Cost me a total of $40.00. Been riding it like that for about 8 years. No one can tell the difference. |
