950 Adv bar position

It looks like my bars are not in the stock position. They are about 78 mm from top of top clamp to bottom of bar. Also they are just forward of the centre of the bar riser by about 10 mm.

How does this compare to a stock setup?
Can anyone measure theirs?
Cheers.

If they are comfortable to you leave them alone, The stock setting may not be right for you.
On the 990 the zero hash mark is straight up or meaning 90Deg. To the flat top of the bar clamp.
This week I am going to rotate the bars a little forward and see how it feel riding standing. They feel a little low now. I may in the end get a set of 1" bar risers

Hi Mate,
Measured mine and sounds like yours has a lift kit in it....maybe a riser lift etc. it's certainley higher than mine, which comes in at around 46/47mm from top of triple tree to bottom of bars. Having been out for a bit of trail this morning I must admit that mine feels low in the bars whle standing to ride (I'm 6.1"). As far as being forward of centre mine is the same. I'd imagine you can rotate the offset of the handlebar clamp to bring it toward or away from you depending on cockpit set up.

Bar set up is a personal thing, depending on height, riding style, arm length etc....go with what feels right for you, there's a ton of variables

Cheers

Reason for asking is while they are great when standing on the pegs, they feel a touch high while sitting.
But I have a Scotts damper off my old 450 Kato. I am thinking of getting a BRP top clamp for the Scotts damper. I was afraid the BRP would be even higher. But after research, I think it will be a touch lower at 55mm than my present set up.

So all good. I think I will have to get the BRP top clamp at some stage.

Cheers and thanks for the replys.

Welcome to the 9X0 !!!
The reason is KTM had to lower the seat height to be able to sell a bike developed to win the Paris Dakar. They also gave the bike a nice ground clearence so pegs are high while seat and handlebar are low.
I had the same problem, installed 1,25'' risers and felt grear when standing but pretty high while sitting. Then I removed the risers: sitting was great but I couldn't ride standing, so back to the risers...
All these years I knew the solution was a higher seat but I couldn't justify the $$$ until I had a "what the hell" moment and ordered one, got it a few weeks ago and now ergonomics are p.e.r.f.e.c.t
Think about it, I believe you're in the same boat I was.
