Giant Loop Guys. Love your gear. I have a question for ya. Do you have any of the old style, black, shaped , zippered bags that fit in the lower part of the Great Basin bag? If so , how much?
Thanks...............

Dear GL,

These waterproof inner bags are a good first step. I've been waiting for the product to evolve with dust/water proofing since my original purchase many moons ago. The dry bag pod approach reminds me of the old bmw rallye jackets where the waterproof liner is on the inside. More of an after thought really...

I recently took an excellent 11d off-road adventure with my coyote using trash bags for waterproofing. Although these cheap home made liners kept my items dry, mostly from stream crossings, the silk/dust build up on the inside of the coyote over time was also a nuisance.

Just another shout out for cost effective factory sealing (ie, zippers, stitching, fabric) on the outside of the bag. I think many of us would be willing to spend a few dollars more for this option.

To your continued product success and evolution....

Kudos to the GL crew. In October I packed my Great Basin bag, that I bought un-used from a buddy, only to find the zipper hadn't been stitched due to a manufacturing problem. It was one hour before I was being picked up by my buddy to drive to Salt Lake city. I called GL and they immediately made arrangements for me to pick up a new bag at RockyMountain ATV. The issue was dealt with quickly and I appreciate the fact it made zero impact on my trip. RockyMountainATV was great to deal with as well.

On another note I had 2 get offs with zero damage to the bag. Very tough bags.

Nice work you guys!

Garrett

I do have a photo but not a lot of info yet...

It's posted on GL's blog.

The capacity on the proto was 60L and these are supposed to be a bit larger.

Other details I'm not sure about yet for the production version.

They are just at EICMA now and will probably fill in more details when they are back.
