Yep, Mata is the sweet preschool teacher. And I've (in a previous life) been on entirely too many Congressional staffers' speed dials and vice versa. But in my first semi-serious conversation with her I felt somewhat less-than. She is GOOD.

Yup, they don't get paid enough for the amount of hours they put in IMO.

Even before I graduated High School I was well into a TV broadscasting career full time - following in my father's and his brother's footsteps. One thing led to another as it does in broadcasting and my boss was paired up with our local Romper Room show hostess (and me with her little sister). Romper Room's beverage of choice after a day of coddling the little ones and producing a show was ... Bourbon! And usually more than one.

There seems to be a trend here - later on in college, while I was trying to get teacher certification in a specific subject without becoming an education major, I developed the ability to finish off a whole fifth of Ancient Age in one night while playing cards from dusk till dawn.

Bourbon - the original Zoloft/Prozac.

My liver hurts right now.
