Vendramini boot resoling

I love my Marathon Steel boots, but its pathetic how fast the soles have worn out. Only around 15,000 miles and they're completely worn down in spots, with no tread showing at all.

According to Mauro at Biker-World:
As their sole is cemented to the upper, the Marathon Steel can not be resoled. Or at least this was the official version. The story was that only Vendramini could do the job properly without voiding the warranty. However, as sending the boots to Italy (and back) may cost a fortune, I heard that many customers were choosing to bring the boots to a trusted local shoemaker and have the resoling performed there, even using non-Vendramini soles. The main thing is that the shoemaker must have a shoe-press and must know what he/she is doing.
More and more customers have been asking us to start importing the soles, and so we did. They are not listed on our site but they are availble at $34.00/pair. Let me know if you want to get a pair and I will tell you how to place your order.
Regards,
Mauro / Bikerworld USA

Does anyone know of a good boot re-soler that could take this on? If this becomes the pain in the ass it's looking like it'll be, I'll never buy Vendramini again. I just can't believe how fast they wore out.. Any help appreciated

You can contact Resole America. They've done a pair of Vasque hiking boots and my Cruiserworks for me and I'm happy with the results.
I was told that the Vasque's couldn't be resoled.
I just tried to pull up their web page and saw a note saying the web site has been hacked; might be best to phone them.
Who the fuck hacks a resoling web site?

Thanks for the help! I think I'll be finding someone to resole something else, so this is a good lead
