I am thinking $2600 but I really want a DR650 again.
Didn't you buy that bike so you could keep up with us on the tight single track?

You need that bike and a DR650

True but I have a BMW that I can't sell (it is one hiccup away from a lemon law buyback) and I need a DR650 that is prepped before June 12 so I kinda need to get on it. I am also getting married soon and if I get a third bike at this point it will be one for her rather than a third for me.

Get and keep all the toys you can before you get married.

Plus don't get rid of that bike, you will regret it. Believe me I know. I would by it back in an instant.

Quoted for truth.
You didn't have as much fun in Freetown as expected? I saw it parked by the John, while I was waiting for Jcalis and his merry band of misfits, and the next second, gone. Never to be seen again.

I had a lot of fun, I started early and finished early. The problem is it ran out of gas as I finished lap 1. I have no idea if that means it is badly out of tune or if it really takes 3 gallons to ride 20 miles. I used to ride the DR650 from Quincy and then ride 20 miles before filling up, now I can't even get around the loop and there doesn't seem to be a gas station on the course. Either way, I took it to VT for a multi-day ride and even with auxiliary tanks I wasn't sure I could get between gas stations. It is a hoot to ride in the afternoon after work but I would rather have something I can do more than take out for an hour at a time.

Fwiw, my 300 will do 2 laps there without hitting reserve. That's 2.5-3 gals.
Either way, I hope you find a small dirty girl that suits ya. You post up on any kdx forum or out in the thumpers section?

Hey Troy
Something is wrong if you are getting such poor mileage. You should have a range of 30mpg on that bike riding trails. My 98 KX250 would go 65 miles before running out on its stock 2gallon tank. Your jetting or float height must be way off and you are leaking fuel while riding.

When I had a KDX, I was getting 60 miles to a stock tank. Something is not right if your burning through that much fuel in 20 miles.
