short ride today, but a good ride! Started in Watertown, over to west Lowville and up to look over the turbines up close and personal, then over to westone gulf and up 26 to 12D and then down to Port Lydon. Across the Moose River road and to Old Forge. Colors up there are Peak this weekend! Had Lunch in Old Forge, then onward to Eagle Bay and over to Big Moose and then onto Stillwater. Down to Number Four and back to Lowville then home to Watertown. About 160 miles with a few stops at scenic spots along the way. About 20 miles of it was dirt road and me on the K1200RS. Averaged about 45 mph on the dirt, some faster, some not, was rought in spots and traffic of course since the leaves were peak. All in all a great day for a ride, no rain and was not cold at all (everyone had on full gear so that helped)

I was wondering about you today - glad you had a nice ride!
Glad I didn't join you on the Duc...she don't do gravel, not even a little bit. I'd have been a party pooper!

Went did the ride with my BMWK1200RS, and a Kawasaki Z1000. had a little fun spinning up the rears on purpose a few times.

BOAR III is off for this coming weekend. R2NW is out and Chuck I'm thinking the forecast (rain and 50º bookended with 30º+ nights) and limited light for travel just ain't worth the time and distance to cover for you.

I got a good riding fix this past weekend up at the RedNEK Rendezvous, though.

I won't be riding the KLR until next weekend - still waiting for parts, still have lots of little crap to do.

I HAD plans to be in copenhagen for the weekend. Plans changed. Now its been pushed up 2 weeks.

Weather permitting I will be there to clean furnaces and ride during the nice part of the day. Tourists will be gone so Moose river road will be pretty good or just ride around the #4 area

If I am stuck driving my ford, Versys will be on the back.

I also had an opportunity to ride with some guys to harrisburg. I chickened out. 52 and rain far away from home does not sound like good riding.

Riding season is almost over. The new bike is 5 weeks old yesterday 4,000 miles on it. It keeps running better. Zero problems. Z8s are great. A set of Michelin soon.
