Ramer, Tn (Corinth area) to Ocean Springs, Ms Ride

I'm trying to kill 2 birds on this trip. Me and my 640a are getting dropped off in Tenn so I can go visit my sister in Ramer. Then I'll ride down to Ocean Springs, Ms to see my grand daughter and catch back up with my wife and family. On Tuesday the 20th, I'll be heading from Ramer, Tn (Corinth area) to Ocean Springs, Ms.

Any good back roads I should try to hit and those to avoid? Must see sights? Any good MX parks or trail systems in the Ocean Springs Area to ride while I am there? Anyone feels like getting out and riding part way is welcome also, preferably if you dislike asphalt also.

I'll be on half worn full knobs so I'm not worried about road surface conditions. The less asphalt I have to ride the happier I will be.

I tried to get the wife to ride the whole trip on the 950 but she's in a big hurry to see her girls

Sounds like you need to run the MS Hill Country Trail from Batesville to Madison county and then Trophy1298's Dirt-2-Coast (D2C) route from Mid Mississippi to the Coast. It will take about 7-8 hours to get from Batesville to Madison County and about 8 hours on to the Coast... When connected together, it's a good 2 day ride of mostly gravel and trails!

There is some good single track about 20 miles from Ocean Springs in the Desoto Nat. Forest.

Bummer is I didn't check this out in time and have no way to get the maps before I leave in a couple days

the route we put together is free. Can email gpx file if interested. D2C 300mi mixed, mostly dirt. just saw this thread, let me know if you want the route.

I'm not aware of needing any special tag in DeSoto. Just watch out for hunters this time of year.
