50% rain on Sat. I'm going to pass. Will try again in the spring

Better chance of dry weather going south rather then north to Plasket

I PM'd Dennis when I first set this up but he never replied.

Don, I hope you are staying dry wherever you are.

There's a man who knows Carrizo.
If you're talking about Dave Dennis (ddennis669), yeah, he's still here. He was never real active on the board, but I saw a couple of posts from him last Spring.

That's right... Mr.Dennis. 250cc to the north and south guy.
He lives out there, pass his place as I enter from the south.

Watching the satelite feeds, looks like a trend to the south.

I could ride the tail of the storm. No hurry, rigs are in the sheds ready to roll. My son isn't even off work yet. I've got heat, stove. fridge. Boots.

Some of the best rides I've had out there are between (and around!) the showers.

Thanks for the links there King!
Crossover Road does have some ruts that you need to stay on the correct side, can be tricky going in blind where you traverse the fault.

Where was ya? Just got back myself. Had a ball, no rain to speak of.
Lots of "roads" to explore. I'm not done with the place yet. It's a getaway and it's close. Fanatastic place. Sorry I misssed you. Saw a pack of bonzai dualsporters blast thru on alumimum boxed GSrs when I entered from the south yesterday. They were in a hurry. I off loaded the Greevorex at Padrone and road over to KCL. Tried out a bunch of canyons. Made dinner and started sleeping at 7 or so. More this morning until we rolled out at 1:00 pm.

It was nice out there, Don. I wish I could have been there.

I was at kcl around 1:45 til about 2:30. Didn't see any bikes in any of the camps or dons rig, so I drank a couple beers and split. It was pretty nice weather out on the plain one of the hunters said it rained super hard the night before (friday). Got wet on the way out of paso and on the way back in, but partly cloudy and sunshine the whole time I was out on the plain. Saw a couple guys on big BMWs on my way out, they were headed in (south). Well maybe I'll catch a couple of you next time, though I am only on a 2wheeler.

Missed you by that much...

Pulled into KCL at 3-3:30, spent some time exploring down south.
Two wheels, got a few myself, no problem there.
Maybe next time. Nice to have such a "faraway" area so close to us.
