A scooter in time

Our coach use to ride behind us on the same color, as we ran along the road during our daily runs. His scooter could be heard gaining on us & we knew to pick up the pace. Coach Gaulman, 300+ lbs of pure TX BS, smoking is cigar.

When I was a teenager, my little brother's friend had something like this. I could have sworn it was a Cushman, but the only "suitcase" scooters I can find are Centaur brand. Maybe someone glued the nameplate on to increase the value. The front wheel and handlebars would fold into the case, and the rear wheel would lift up into it. We rode it all over town (solo only), and it would do about 35 mph. He sold it to a guy who put it in the trunk of his car because he couldn't afford to fix his spare tire.

Nice, A couple of my buddies had Cushmans like that in the late 50s. One was a single speed, while the other one had a two speed trans. I had a Sears Allstate Cruisaire made by Vespa. Those were the days.
