More surprising to me was the fact that only eleven individuals have won the Dakar.
Given that fact, it isn't that unlikely that only a small number of countries would be represented. |

Looks better now! Maybe not the bikes they'll be riding, unless there were many last minute changes

Nope, I believe they're the ones that usually occupy the sled in the passenger side of the helicopter...
![]() Ability and experience, tempered with tactical and mental preparedness is far more important that balls. Those that don't understand this simple truth, often have "them" torn off by the desert and spat out...

My money is on Barreda being the next one to break through.
Kurt Caselli meets almost all the requirements listed--just needs some rally experience. He has said that he hopes to do some rally racing in the near future. Jacob Argubright and his dad have built a Kawasaki rally bike, which I thought was interesting. He is young and very fast. helmet cam from caselli: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SuMCC...eature=related helmet cam from argubright: http://vimeo.com/29308057 |

I agree. He's got youth on his side, but also a wealth of experience over the past few years. His speed is being matched by maturity and consistency and now that Speedbrain has a few years under their belts, I'd say Barreda is a good bet to assume the mantle.
