Dimecitycycles mega phone and Motolanna header

Hey riverratride, Ref the Dimecitycycles megaphone silencer and the Motolanna swept downpipe, love the look of that combination. I see Motolanna make a standard reversed megaphone, a short version and an Extra short one The Extra short one is supposed to be quiter. How load is your Dimeccity megaphone, just wondering why you went for that combination when Motolanna sell a matching Megaphone as well.
Just joined the forum, I built my current XT around 24 years ago from parts, needs a strip and repaint now, looking at changing the exhaust set up now, mine is home made straight through, but im getting old now and need something throaty but less noisey. Many thanx Tim

24&25 yrs old now...

The swing arm is a profab, for the XT/TT 500. They made 'em for White brothers as well.
The prev owner ran it on the street without a cain tensioner or guide.
Thoughts on if I should run a tensioner? The bike will have about 4" of rear travel when it completd.

"Keep us posted on the swingarm"

Swing arm worked out great. Picking up my 3rd set of springs today for the Progressve susp 13 1/2" shocks.
Like the three bears, this pair should be just right...
Photo from last week before the orange rear fender & TT taillight installed.

What road gearing do you all like on your XT500?

I have great off road gearing...but not good for much over 55.

THanks!
