I am considering this ride with a KLR 650. I am not sure how rocky and technical the trails you are planning will be as I have stock gearing with decent tires.
Thanks |

I did it a few times on the DR650 and it wasn't too bad. It gets tiring after a while though depending on which way we go. Drew- a good big bike loop would be Coke Ovens - Montana Mountain or Pinal Peak. I'll be on the 125 so a full day for me is a no go and anything involving pavement would be sketchy.

ewilly can ride, he did Casner Mtn with us a few months ago on a DRZ, I just want him to know what's in store.
Counter clockwise, probably not that big of a deal, clockwise (like the video) might be "a spot of bother" as Drew would put it. The Jury is still out on the route...

Even if we go clockwise, there is an alternate route around honda hill.

Does anyone want to ride in the same area on Sunday morning? I don't have to be back to PHX till 6pm and would love to do some more dirt.
Reminds me of an old ODB song... God made Dirt and Dirt bust your ass!

GAAHHH!!! I just realized this ride is Saturday (not Friday as I thought) and I'm pre-committed on Saturday. Yes, I now realize it says the day in the thread.....I'm an idiot. Very sorry to miss this one, love this ride. Hope it's a great day!

Since Don bailed out we decided it's safe to include the EMT. She'll be riding with Roger.
Anyone scared to do the in & out? With this small of a group & the talent level that's what i'm thinking we should do to burn off Thanksgiving Day groceries...I can e-mail the basic route to anyone that needs it. PM me your e-mail address & I'll send it to you. I say basic because there will probably be side trips

I am planning to be there too. Just have to decide if it's a BRP day or KTM.
