Hi Dave - it'll be good to meet up again. Which bikes are you bringing with you?

I was thinking of just bringing my new DR650 but I really prefer to ride the 350 as it's set up more for off-road and the 650 is 100% stock.

Does anyone know if there is a good route from madera Canyon to Amado on the east side of I-19. It looks like FR 781 might get there but I am not sure.

I don't know about 781 on the Madera end but I suspect it's a mtn. bike trail. I once explored 781 from the Amado end and it turned into a single track hiking trail just below Elephand Head. There is another off road option that will get you there. If you head out of Madera towards Continental you will cross under a high voltage transmission line. There is a two track road that follows the line all the way to the subdivisions just to the north of Elephant Head Rd. I wouldn't take my 950 across it but it's no problem on a dirt bike.

Here's my Penton lineup:

And guess what I am adding to the collection:

A 1973 Mudlark

Should be ready in a week or two. Stop by sometime and I'll show them to you. Skip

Hey Skip,

That is an awesome collection. We should have the next Phx meets Tucson ride start in your driveway, so that we can all drool over those bikes!

I haven't tried to get from Madera to Amado, but there is a road on Garmin's US Roads & Rec GPS map that looks like it might work. The powerline Dave refers to is the blue track on my map - it was OK on my DR350.

Nope they fixed that years ago. Guess you didn't get the memo.

Stop by anytime you're in town. We can have a beer and I'll show you the lineup. This one should be added this coming week.
