When I read the heading I immediately thought his excuse would be that he was hopped up on viagra and was hurrying home to put its effects to good use before they wore off.
Sorry, that`s the way my mind works.

![]() Maybe he'd got his arthritis medication and the V-tablets mixed up... ended up with a stiff right knee that locked up on him?

Not enough riding...

So Dave, is it your experience that those drugs' effects wear off quickly?

Well, the effect certainly does wear off before I can find anyone willing, but then again, what right thinking young lady would want a 63 year old jumping her bones?

10 years ago, I bought a sight unseen V8 WB Holden 1 tonner out of Sydney, over the phone.
I flicked Dad the trip money to bring it up to Brisbane, at his leisure. So the story goes it was an uneventful car drive up until they passed thru Tenterfield, when Mum sitting in the passenger seat glanced across at the long oblong speedo and said they'd never make Brisbane by nightfall if he kept driving at 80 klms p/h. He had over 60 years truck driving experience and argued that he felt they were doing 100 klms p/h. She told him to nail the 100 klms p/h on the speedo and to save arguement he did Just before Wallangara the NSW Highway Patrol caught him at 130 klm p/h ![]() So long story short, Dad told the cop the whole story and mentioned in 60 years had never had a speeding offence. The cop checked his licence ..... and let him go ![]() It had the wrong colour coded speedo drive in the gearbox and Dad was 85 at the time.

She was there in 15 minutes. How fast were you going was asked and the reply was "I just sat on 100k's". yep speedo was still in MPH.... |
