I just mailed in my 03 FFL Curio and Relic application. It should come through in four to eight weeks.

I plan to start with a humble SKS. I've always wanted one ever since playing with a couple that my buddy had about twenty years ago. I'll be sure to pick up a Mosin at some point too.

That is impressive! I should probably try to construct some subsonic 5.56 rounds for my YHM 3600, no real practical use but it might be fun.
How does the Blackout/AAC do for accuracy? Spotty reports are all that have kept me away so far, I was disappointed when Savage dropped their bolt gun project (reportedly) because they could not acheive the accuracy they wanted. Anyway, been a fan of the 300 since the Whisper first appeared but a lifetime of precision over volume shooting has kept me on the fence.

Great rifle for the money. I got this one from Southern Ohio Gun a couple years ago, it was like brand new. That C&R can be costly.

Here is a 3shot grouping @200 yds. Yes, there are three shots in those two holes.

Nice Yugo.

I'm hoping to pick up one of the Sino-banian Type 56's that have appeared recently. I hope there are still some left when I get the C&R.

A Yugo is on my list too.

That's a nice old Rand, love the old girls.

That's what I like about the Valor, it's like a modern take on the old 1911's.
No ungodly rollmarks, no MIM, no feed ramp, and lots of hand fitting.

How should one store a 1911? Cocked and locked, the way it arrived? Just goy mine in the mail, but I fear it'll be a while till I get to use it at the range. I hate winter.

Oil it, empty mag, uncocked at half hammer.

quick question,
I tried for the first time 200 yards with my 17HMR and wasn't able to get target (3" steel plate) and all bullets hit the back metal plate withing 4 inches of each other. That sounds pretty bad.

My question is, when shooting at that distance is a MUST to shot with a shooting rest?
Any tip to improve my grouping.!
I was just using a V in the front barrel and the back to my shoulder.

Thanks in advance.

Not at half hammer. That can cause damage to the hammer.

Assuming it's been oiled, I see nothing wrong with slide down, hammer down.
