Thanks for the link. Ill do it in December. Id like to ride my own bike during the brc. Will I be able to ride my bike from my home on post to the brc and back without the permit?

If you're talking about licensing, like getting a Colorado Driver's License, go to http://www.colorado.gov/revenue/dmv and browse around there for drivers license info, vehicle registration, etc. If you have any vehicles that are from out of state that you want to register in Colorado, you'll have to get a VIN inspection done. Google that, and you can find places to do it. Also, if you're not originally from Colorado and you're registering vehicles here, make sure to bring with you a copy of your orders assigning you to a base in Colorado, your LES, and fill out a form found on the DMV website...it's a nonresidence military exemption form that can reduce your registration fees substantially. You have to do this in person at one of the DMV offices, even if it's a renewal, to avoid paying hefty registration costs. The office just off of Powers is really busy all the time, and the downtown office is small with long lines. I haven't been to the others in town.

That is around the 4,Mile riding area. Basicly the valley from just north of Buena Vista to Salida. This is on the east side of the valley. Lots of trails, lots more of roads like in the picture.

Finally got my bike road legal. I need to test the bike on bike first as I may need to make clutch and brake adjustments, so excited but not about the cold.
