Ushuaia Christmas 2012 rollcall
So who's going to be south for Chrissy? I've got a boat to Antarctica that gets back on the 21st, and looking for a few fellow riders to share a Christmas lunch or dinner with.

The website has all the details regarding schedule, but basically it heads through the south shetlands & deception islands before touching down on the peninsula. http://www.chimuadventures.com/ If you flick them an email to see if there's a few spots left, they'll get back to you pretty quick (betweeen AEST 9-5). Any ideas on where to park the bike while on the boat? I've booked into the Antarctica hostel for the 7th and 8th, but everyone is going to be elsewhere it may be best to move her. Good luck and god speed with the repairs, I'll flick you an email when I know more (In Esquel, ARG atm) Mike |

Ushuaia bike storage
I'm booking a cruise from 23 Dec to 1 Jan, also curious about a place to store the bike. I should arrive by the 21st and be game for meetups as well.

on that note, Does anyone know of a charity that'd like a worn out KLR250? or someone who'd like to buy one, and donate the money to said charity? I'm not taking the bike back with me, and would love to see her be put to good use, rather than just left on the side of the road. |

Paper work can't be done in Argentina and I don't think it's going to be useful without the papers. In Punta Arenas you are able to them.
I'll try to see what can be done here

Last year while in EL Calafate I had the best flan on the planet. Was eating it when about 8 ADVers who were on a Patagonia ride went by me.
I will be in Ushuaia in early Feb. on my way to Antarctica also. Will look for bikes with ADV stickers on. |

We are leaving Santiago around the 12th and heading to Ushuaia. Not sure how fast we will go but we may see you!
