Love it!

Thanks guys for the update on Quinn Cody. Sounds like he is taking the sensible route to the Dakar: Get a few rallies under the belt first before going for it - Even if you are a top rider.

And then we have a a new video from Chaleco, I love it!

South Africans Darryl Curtis and Riaan van Niekerk doing some last tests on their factory machines. I think Darryl is the guy to watch, given Cody is out.

The BF side panels, is that just for advert space or some function?

May have served a purpose but they'll be collecting dust now.

What I meant was, big F'in side panels. Not exclusively the "BF" side panels!!

To all those 'feeling giddy', it looks like I will have room for up to 3 passengers for 4 days in our 4x4 support vehicle following our moto tour down the coast of Peru if anyone is interested. You would not believe how NOT expensive it is! You would have to fly into Lima on the 3rd and would be flying out of Lima late on the 8th or sometime the 9th. This is NOT a business deal, just a 'offering' at the base cost for faithful ADVers coordinated by another inmate!

You would get to see Lima, Rally HQ, the start, 3 days of spectating from some lonely spot out in the desert each day, show support for your favorite racer(s), see the Nazca Lines... and most of all: say you were there!

PM or email me at aroundtheblock07@gmail.com

If this is confusing to those who have been paying attention, Rally Management Services is teaming up with Freedom Rally Racing this year. It just made more sense to share a truck. Great to see two US teams helping each other out.

Thanks to Scott and Mike for making room for Kevin and I, and for all the heavy lifting which took place in France. Scott has great Le Havre pics on their Facebook. Here's one of their truck.

29 days til Lima!

I know Scott is excited to have you and Kevin join them! It's going to be a great race! We met Kevin in France and look forward to cheering him on right along with the other Freedom riders!

The photo you shared is of me trying to figure out where the heck we were going to put all that "stuff" on the truck LoL And was before we had Kevin's. It all fit and still some inches left to spare.

A bit Orange, so no action shots of Sam on the 450 x, but with all the dune sections and early on, he will be more at home than most !

I just discovered my prediction/guess post for UK (and adopted Aussies) entries from August, I'm pleased to see I wasn't far off! Especially as I recall I posted after getting back from a rather heavy session down the pub

This is the list of Brits (and adopted Aussies) as far as I know so far

Craig Bounds (correct)

Jenny Morgan (well sort of correct but she has had to defer to 2014)

Front Row GB

  • Stan Watt (correct)
  • Tim Forman (correct)
  • A N Other (I think there was going to be another rider but they didn't get in)
  • Lyndon Poskitt (under the Lyndon Poskitt Racing banner) (correct as we all know... go Pyndon!)

Team SimonPAVEY.com/Delta Kunststoffe Husqvarna UK

  • Simon Pavey (correct)
  • Llewellyn Pavey (well that was the plan.... but he wuz robbed!!!)
Team HRC
  • Sam Sunderland (correct)
The ones I didn't get were:

Going to send some more Pyndon's way in any case.

Go Pyndon!
