Since it's going to be wet this weekend thought I'd ride a little.

Been by here a couple times but this was my first time to stop and look around.

I always seem to ride places a week too early, passed that last Sunday. Followed the the old roads along the river to Tell City and back home through Indiana. Really enjoyed the ride but the deer just stand in the middle of the road down that way, even at noon.

OK... I'm new to this so I'm not sure what rules may or may not exist.

Apparently, they were having some sort of festival today for the Lincoln Bicentennial.

I looked back a couple pages and saw a few "water crossings" so I took this at one that I have used several times. Watch out though because I literally almost got hit by a deer today on the gravel road... I saw a doe running out of the corner of my eye and I got on the brakes in time for her to jump from the embankment to the road about 2-3 feet in front of me. I have to get a GoPro....

There's about 5 miles of gravel...

You have to eat there if you spend the time riding there. Great food and great desert.

Yes!.......I can HIGHLY recommend the food at Bubba's. Service can be weak at times, so don't be in a hurry & don't hesitate to remind the waitress that she forgot part of your order

Well, it was a warm , beautiful day in Kentucky So I decided to let some work slide and ride for a photo tag.
I called Iceman and we met on 68 heading west. When we got to the intersection of 68 and 33 we stopped for gas. I gasssed my ST3 and pushed it forward to give some room to Iceman.
Then I heard tire squeal and an impact and looked up to see a Kia minivan slideing sideways toward my bike. I watched in disbeleif as the Kia bowled my Duc over and punted it toward Ice's KLR as he was pumping gas. There was little bike to bike contact , then it was over.

The red car hit the Kia in front of the right rear wheel sending it into my bike. The white truck was trying to leave when the impact happened . I don't think it was hit at either end. The red car was spun completely around.

The Ducati suffered fairing damage and a broken brake lever , .fender and abrasions. It started right up and I rode it home. And that's the story of why I didn't get and BBBBBB bbq today.

Damn BBB! We're not safe even while at a gas stop!

Glad to hear no one was hurt and hope you get the duc fixed up fast.

Wow! Glad it didn't involve you or iceman too. I daydreamed about riding all day yesterday. By the time I get a chance it'll be 20 and snowing :)

Woooo that sucks! Good thing you weren't mounted up!!! I don't think my chartreuse helmet could have kept that from happening.
