If we hit the fire roads in Madison Saturday, I'll show you folks the Aylor Holler road. It's just off of 231 before Banco. It goes straight up the mountain and intersects Blakey Fire road about mid way between the Saddle and where it comes out on the Ruth road. I figure we can hang a right on Blakey and go to the Saddle and up past the cabins at Rapidan Camp. I can show y'all where the road to Sag is as well (it's where the big relay tower is. It's only open during hunting season.)

Would love to see those roads sometime. When it's warmer I suppose!

Saw the meetup post for Earlysville this am but already had a ride planned with Redneck Rider since Monday.
230 miles on the WRR today (sold the GS last weekend), so I would need a butt transplant to ride again any time soon
Weather front was dark and breezy and rapidly coming into Franklin, WV while we were eating a late lunch. Hightailed it back SE to intersect Moyers Gap, up the back of Reddish, backroads across the Valley to Elkton and home.
Views with the late afternoon light on Goods Mill Rd., Dairy Rd. and Captain Yancey's Rd. were spectacular.

I'm riding! 11:00-11:30 I'll be at the 64/BRP junction on a red klr. I thought there was a diner there but maybe it is closed down. Ill be in the parking lot regardless.
One note, I have never riden this area so I will not be held responsible for getting us temporarily lost. But, thats what makes it an adventure!

Thats one rocky ride. I couldnt find FR162 on my garmin map so i had to use coordinates and transfer some waypoints to my gps and hope for the best. It worked out great, a little chilly at times but the views went on forever in the crisp air. Then i crashed in the last big puddle and my glove froze to my hand on the way home. Thank god for waterproof gear, the only thing that got wet was one foot and one hand. A little frost bite on the middle finger to remember the ride by. Im still glad i went.
