Despite a couple incidental and unexpected close-up geological examinations of the road surface, I had a blast.
Thanks, all! Still smilin...

Made the kessel run in about 44 parsecs, stopped for a nature break at the monkey ranch even.

KTM was fine- aftermarket fuel pump is still a bugger but the bitch of the day was the worthless filter from Cyclegear that deformed and starved the thumping orange paintshaker...

It makes really loud scraping noises when it slides down a paved road on it's side......

A few photo's from our inaugural "Junior Geologist ADV 2012"

Despite our best efforts, not everyone crashed, but almost! We sampled mud, gravel and even took a sample of the mush created when leaves, mold and algea create that slickery layer on old pavement.

This is the group of intrepid explorers looking to score the coveted "JR Geo" badge by sampling the soil.... just a pinch between the cheek and gums!

"This" is what we are after.......

After a few miles of slimey mud, some have already recieved their badge, V-Duck shows his approval....

Tim gets stealthy at the Wildcat bridge during a break....

KTM's are so complicated that apparently this is the only way to flip it to reserve.

Miguel samples the decomposed granite then lets his XR eat it's fill before we soldier on...

Kev gets his "Badge"

Monkey poses triumphantly atop the Roman Nose....

Great ride with great folks.... thanks again.

What, no mention of RxR crossings and the awsome safety run-offs they provide?

Yeah, who the hell decided it was a good idea to run a road and a rail track side by side.... then suddenly switch positions?

One minute I'm daydreamin' down nicely groomed gravel when suddenly I awake, fighting for control at 45mph along the siding of a railroad!

Does shooting off the road, in classic Flying W formation but not falling over, count as a crash? I'm thinkin' it does.... so I want my badge!

Or for sending up half his tire in smoke as he tried to kill us at the waterfall. He used his luck card up completely with the high speed clinging to the bank beside the rail road track pass. That was special

No pictures from me since I didn't bring the camera along.

If somebody buys me a few beers on Wednesday and maybe a hot leg they can have my magnetic Fastrax tank bag. Is in great shape and has a nice built-in rain cover. Bought a Giant Loop Fandango and don't need the Fastrax anymore.

Do you think that tank bag'd work on the Klr? If so, I might be willing to not only buy you a couple beers and a leg...I'd even roll my pants up and let you get a good long look at MY hawt legs....(no touching).....ok...a little touching.
The nekkid gurl pic'd have to come out of the map slot prior to ownership transfer or my wife'd gut-slit the both of us.
