Hey Alex,
No biggie man. Looks like you guys had a good time and that's all that counts. Maybe next time. ![]() Victor and I had a great ride as well. Wound up getting lost ourselves and also managed to almost run into two big ass dogs off of 78. Scared the shit out of both of us. Some of the gray stuff was slick as ice and I almost took a digger into a deep truck rut full of stagnant water. By the way that Joanie's place is EXPENSIVE!! All in all a great ride and we clicked off about 300 miles in total.

i almost hit one of those dogs to! i only saw one, a tan one. it came running out of a driveway on 78.
sounds like you guys were up in the same area as us. it was pretty fun even though i was fighting my bike all day in the sand and my wrist started to hurt like crazy from all the clutch action. after riding Tommy's bike i think i'm over the tagged dirt bike thing, it might be time for another old school thumper again. did you ride your KLX all the way there and back? thats a far way on the 300, good job! we will see you guys out there soon i'm sure. i have to skip the next few rides so i can finish prepping for court but after that i'll be back out.

Yup, those are the dogs. There was also a black one when we came by.
What old school bike are you thinking about getting? Yeah, Victor and I rode the whole way to and from. Total mileage was 292. Not too bad for me with the new seat but Victor was on the stock seat. The dude is a trooper for sure. I have done that same ride on my stock seat and didn't want to look at my bike for the next week. ![]() No DS rides for a bit for me either but a group of us are heading up to Croom this weekend for a little camp n' ride.....and drink. ![]() Here are a few pics from the ride. Victor rolling into the meetup spot. ![]() Headed to Loop Road. You can see a huge pirate parade that we just passed. Holy heck were they creeping along. I wish I had gotten a pic of the sweet Shovel Head trike though... ![]() Loop. ![]() Taking a break after the grey slime tried to kill us.

Alex, I'm glad it's not just me that is sore! My shoulders have been really burning today. I will need a few rides to get back in shape for this.
My conclusion is that it is much more physically demanding to ride on sand and mud than it is to ride steep, rocky trails. I really think it might be because we cover far more miles in a day down here.

One day for sure.... But it'll be a while. For now the jeep has been working out. I can't wait to take him on our first camping trip. I think he's looking forward to it more than I am.

Not sure yet. We do need to do an overnight camp-out with the bikes one weekend while it's nice.
The camping with your Son. That's fun stuff. Do as much of that stuff as you can. He'll always remember it! We'll keep you posted.

I'd like to do a over night camping trip on the bike but I can't carry any camping gear on mine. I'm trying to find a way to get a different bike but I do t ha e any cash right now. My job is constantly getting worse and worse.
Hopefully one of these days things will turn around. Until then I'll get my bike ready and list it and see what I can get out of it. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I tried to order one of those racks before and couldn't find them anywhere. For some reason I thought I remembered them being longer. Maybe I'll try to weld up one myself.

Shoot, for less than $85 shipped, I'd think twice about that.
With the GL bag, you don't need a rack.
