Count me in ('06 RFS) silver no lettering. I'm spending a month (solo) in Baja next april with lots of remote trails and single track. I've had some concern about my clutch cover. This would be perfect.

I might have access to an '06 450 EXC. Does anyone know if that case is the same for '04 thru '06 RFS motors? I'm thinking of taking pre-paid orders for this case saver. I'll keep you guys posted. Just picked up a bunch of new aluminum stock so I'll be ready to make a bunch when it's time.

Changed in 06 (one part cover, machined deeper to allow for fixed idler gear).
Changed in 07 (became two part, so you can access clutch pack without removing entire cover).

No idea if the actual cover part remained same shape. This would be a question for KTMTalk. I expect DJH knows. I can take pics of my two part 07 if you need.

So you're saying it fits both of these? I know the inner covers each mounts to is different.

You're right. It won't fit the RFS. It's based off an '08 530.
The '06 RFS might fit the '07. There's such small differences, that's why I like to have the bike to work with. Makes finding the fit for different years kinda hard. d'oh!

I talked to my ktm dealer and they say that '04-'06 are the same part #.
