Nevada and Utah Sept. '12

Went off for a two week trip this last September on my KLR. Bike ran like a watch and averaged 61 MPG.

What sort of temps did you experience that time of year?

He never complains, is delighted to be with me, approves of my dietary choices, is a social butterfly who helps me meet folks, appreciates a good beer, snuggles better than my wife, and hangs on my every word as if it's the most profound thing he's ever heard. This was late September and was cool most of the time. It ranged from mid 30s (Great Basin NP @ altitude) to low 70s at lower elevation near Capitol Reef, during the day. I was caught in rain three different days but in the form of thundershowers. One evening in Torrey I was out 'till midnight walking back from a restaurant in shorts and a tee shirt and wasn't cold.

Thanks. As a Vermonter I have a real hard time enjoying myself in anything hotter than 80F, so it's nice to know there are times of the year I could actually enjoy myself out there
