In high school we were riding dirt bikes on a guy's 4500 acre ranch in the Sierras....cowtrailing along.

I saw a rattlesnake strike the Hodaka Ace 90 in front of me, hitting the frame and not the rider's leg

Two reptilian stories...

Heading out to the White Rim Trail trailing the rest of the group, I looked down to find a lizard (I think it's called an alligator lizard) hitching a ride on my instrument panel on the 350. Grabbed him so he wouldn't fall off and get hurt, pulled over and let him off.

A few years back, Hell and I were in the Laramie Peak unit of the Medicine Bow NF about to head up a fire road to the Black Mountain lookout. There was a group of ATV'ers looking pretty excited about something at the start of the road. Jeff wanted to get going so he wasn't eating dust and headed right up. I watched as a good sized rattler reached out and touched his lower leg. Jeff never felt a thing. I'm betting that poor rattler broke tooth on that hit.

Hellsickle even Jefficates rattllers......For those that are not in the know- a virgin trip with Hellsickle will educate you to what you are capable of, but his first is Jeff, so we call it a Jeffication(ecucation by dirtbike)...Newbs, rattler's included, beware!!!

Lots o those rattle worms out here.
Had my son and nephew with me as we were headed out to ride in the Sand Wash OHV area west of here, saw one in the road, so I was laying on the road trying to get a cool picture, when my nephew says "Look at the Snake Uncle Norm" I say yea I am taking a picture of it, he says, No the one behind you! 10ft behind me crawling up on the road was another one! I looked over at my nephew, he was standing in the middle of my pickup hood, positive snakes were over running us!
Neither one was very big, but they got his attention.

I always store my helmets in the house now because of just this reason. I had left one of my full-faces sitting on the floor of the garage overnight. Put it on the next morning never even thinking about it, I was about a mile from the house and just going good when a good sized spider crawled across the visor. No panic, I can see the rascal, just slow down and pull over....

For some reason, he decided quite suddenly that it was scary there and ran up off the visor and out of sight

You can stop a sport bike from 45mph and get a full face helmet off in roughly 0.01 seconds if you are properly motivated

Hit a bee last week on my way to work. Visor open, sunglasses on... felt something hit just inside the visor, didn't think much of it... then it crawled on my glasses in front of my right eye

What'd you end up doing? I've had it happen and there's this internal struggle between continuing to ride while dealing with it or pulling over and dealing with it.

Mine are prescription. If I pull them off while riding, it's like Gary Busey leaving happy hour. I'm all over the road.

This is what my eye looked like the morning after getting stung by something...bee, wasp, hornet...pick one

I had to ride that morning from Grand Junction to Moab. Needless to say I could not see out of my left eye at all. That has never happened to me while riding so I did not know what to expect...needless to say I had some pucker moments and slowed WAY down until the swelling got better. Sucked big time!!

I would imagine that depth perception would be virtually non existent.
