The sweet 22 series of scopes are pretty nice at not a ad price.

Yes, we are allowed to lock the elbow into the hip.

I have a sweet .22 3x9 on my marlin 7000. i like it. it is good for me out to 100 yards no problem, which is as far as i can hit the paper from anyhow I wouldn't mind a higher power at times, so that i could dial it in on a target for detail, but meh, for the price (29.99 on sale at sportsmans paradise) i can't complain, even a little bit!

The guys that play the small bore game like the 18 power BSA scopes....I thought they are ok, but I just had a little trouble with them....I think it is my eyes. I ended up with a Millet scope on my rifle....IIRC a 24 power scope.

It is not a real expensive scope but I found it nice and clear....and a bit brighter, something I had trouble with on the BSA scopes of that power...they are a little dark for me. It is a honking big scope and trying to find the metric rings for the CZ was a bit of a problem....I am still not real happy with what I have now.

It seems like there are a lot of gun owners here with multiple guns so I figured this might be useful for a few.

I just picked up an App for the iPad called Gun Log +P. You can log all sorts of information on each gun you own as well as documenting it with pictures. You can also log in all your ammunition and accessories. It acts as an inventory with the ammo and it takes rounds out of inventory and applies them as fired rounds to the gun used in your shooting sessions. It will track failures to fire as well as maintenance and such for each gun.

I started out with the idea that I needed to catalog my collection in case of fire/theft, but this is looking to be a very useful tool for tracking all aspects of shooting.

Check it out!

I keep everything in an access database, then one copy on DVD stays with the inlaws, just incase the house gets killed by a tornado or something.

I update the sheet a few times a year, pulling current sold for prices off of gun broker....and if I have to I adjust the rider on the insurance.

gun records

I keep pictures of my guns in a Smugmug file. the file is set to private - only seen by my login. I use a photo program to type in the serial numbers and other info on the pictures.

Looks like this:

Back on topic

My wife just finished her MBA and instead of jewelry for a graduation present she wanted a new target pistol.
In comes a new Browning Buckmark Camper, it's a 2012 limited edition with the cocobolo grips and is fricking sweet. Will need to post pics once I've taken them.
We spent some time at the range yesterday and put a few hundered rounds through it. Super accurate and has a great trigger. A bit of a PITA to clean compared to a Glock but what isn't.

That one's fixed sights. Just a nice, solid little plinker.

Still on the hunt for extra mags, though - only have one at the moment.
