Thanks for the input. I explored the area a little on Thansgiving Day without success but I didn't have your input at the time. When I get a chance, I will try out your track. It will probably be in a couple of weeks since it takes me an hour to get there from home.

The last time I was down there I had trouble with the normal route right where the southern end enters the housing development. The land owner had closed off the trail with no trespassing signs and barriers. There is a legal work around by heading east on established roads but it's not shown on Bob's track.

Hi All!

I plan on leaving Ontario, Canada early next week for a two month Central American adventure ride. I want to trailer the bike down to the US southwest and ride from there. I was thinking the Tuscon area would be a good staging area as I would be starting in Baja and return through the mainland. This would be my first ride into Mexico and further south.

Any suggestions on where I could leave my vehicle for 2 months, and have it there when I get back. Also suggestions for area accomodation, border crossing and Mexico insurance would be very much appreciated!

What is your expected arrival date to the Tucson area. I can help you out with a safe parking spot and I think I still have some good maps of Copper Canyon area. Mexican Insurance is easy to get around here, crossing depends on where you are going...either Nogales or Douglas area.. just depends. I have had several Mexico bound riders stage from my house before.. PM me if you want to discuss it more.

Haven't found any local places that carry them, and I'd like to see one in person/hold it this way and that/scratch my head/find a way to fit one MORE thing on my tiny XT225 before ordering one of my own...
