Tag Heuer Watch Repair
Fe Woman has one of these
![]() It has ceased to function. My local reliable jeweler, Brown and Company in Roswell, GA says send it to Tag and approximately $300 later, it will be fine. Anyone have other advice or suggestions?

I sent my link to Tag (in Toronto??, I think) adjuster threads would not engage and it would not screw down, they also serviced it, whatever that entails and it was about $200, very happy with the service, about 3week turnaround

A watch like that is worth spending the $$$ to have it serviced properly. I just picked up two of my Citizen diver watches at the Citizen service centre. They changed the batteries, put in new gaskets in the back, cleaned them and did some paint touch-up on one. Cost just over $200 for both but I now have two new watches again.

You'd think it would have a warranty...

I used to own a Rolex. Then the $500 a year service fee to maintain it blows. So I sold it. I just wear G-Shock's now.

I gave it to her for Christmas 2000...
I'm all about G-Shocks; my only Rolex was stolen years ago and I will probably never own another.

Never had it serviced. It worked flawlessly, save the one time it ran fast for a few days after being worn in sub-zero weather...

Tourneau at Lenox Mall in Atlanta sells Tag Heuer...maybe they can service the watch...or recommend another option.

Tag has a service center in New Jersey. Both of mine have been there once over the many years I have owned them. The service was great and the cost was fair.

I have a TAG Aquaracer chronograph I bought a few years ago. Had an issue with the crown a couple years ago, my jeweler sent it back to TAG no charge. I was in there a couple months ago and mentioned that the second hand, when set to zero for timing, was 6 seconds off. They sent it back to TAG, no charge. I'm sure it's out of warranty, but no charge and I can't imagine my jeweler was eating that?
Maybe hint that you MIGHT buy something else if they fix it for free ![]() Both times I got my watch back it was cleaned and looking great. Worth it for a nice watch I think. I had an automatic Breitling years ago my parents gave me. That thing was a money pit. My wife has a Rolex that was her grandmothers and it still works perfectly.

I have a TAG-Heuer dive watch that's about 30 years old. I'd have it serviced, but I don't really wear it since I retired. I use my phone now. I also have two Heuer stop watches, a 1/10 second split timer, and a 1/5 second conventional timer. I like them better than a digital timer.

![]() I've had our Tags serviced at Brown. They can change the battery and pressure test but not much else. Then again, their Tag person was wanting to retire, IIRC.

My Omega service costs about 200 to 300 every third year but I had success in taking it directly to the Omega repair office (luckily for me it's in the same city as I am)...
They did the last service for free after they checked their records. It's the hidden cost of expensive watches. That said I used to spend about 100 a year on watches anyway (lost, broken etc) so I reckon I'm just about breaking even and I've got a much nicer watch than I would otherwise.
