Dunno, was just showing a pic for illustration. I use a Uni filter in a stock air box, snorkel removed.

My guess is they would in the dirt, but not if mostly street riding. I used to tune a production class road race bike and we may have used six of those in an airbox and it was good for going up one jet size. It never changed over a season, but I am sure it may be different in dirt.

Sorry didn't realize the change in poster. I thought you were the Glenn responding when I saw that.

A buddy I asked about the filter plugs says they are a waste of money and get clogged in less then a day of riding. He rides a DRZ (I think) says he just drilled about a dozen 1/4 inch holes in his airbox and lets the filter do it's job... He has to clean the filter more often but says it gives him a good boost. What do you guys think?

As to the UNI plugs getting full of dirt, they can be snapped in and out. Carry spares in very dusty conditions.

Russell All Day Long seat

Has anyone seen a Russell on a 225? I'm planning a trip to South America a my artificial hip demands one of these.
Nothing compares to the all day long seat from Russell for comfort and support.

I've found this to be much better than high performance muffler bearings.

I'm interested in running the bigger piston in the iron liner. The thickness seems a bit marginal to me but would rather hear some real world input from someone who's done it.

Not a lot of all-out motors being built on this platform, but it never hurts to ask, no?
