Thanks guys for the update on Quinn Cody. Sounds like he is taking the sensible route to the Dakar: Get a few rallies under the belt first before going for it - Even if you are a top rider.

To all those 'feeling giddy', it looks like I will have room for up to 3 passengers for 4 days in our 4x4 support vehicle following our moto tour down the coast of Peru if anyone is interested. You would not believe how NOT expensive it is! You would have to fly into Lima on the 3rd and would be flying out of Lima late on the 8th or sometime the 9th. This is NOT a business deal, just a 'offering' at the base cost for faithful ADVers coordinated by another inmate!

You would get to see Lima, Rally HQ, the start, 3 days of spectating from some lonely spot out in the desert each day, show support for your favorite racer(s), see the Nazca Lines... and most of all: say you were there!

If this is confusing to those who have been paying attention, Rally Management Services is teaming up with Freedom Rally Racing this year. It just made more sense to share a truck. Great to see two US teams helping each other out.

I know Scott is excited to have you and Kevin join them! It's going to be a great race! We met Kevin in France and look forward to cheering him on right along with the other Freedom riders!

The photo you shared is of me trying to figure out where the heck we were going to put all that "stuff" on the truck LoL And was before we had Kevin's. It all fit and still some inches left to spare.

I just discovered my prediction/guess post for UK (and adopted Aussies) entries from August, I'm pleased to see I wasn't far off! Especially as I recall I posted after getting back from a rather heavy session down the pub

Well, Gary Sparks isn't racing Dakar in 2013, even though his website still says that he is and he's still accepting sponsorship several months after. I split my sponsorship between Pyndon and him; Pyndon could've had the lot. I know I should have checked whether he had an entry but .... annoying.

Going to send some more Pyndon's way in any case.
